~ White Castle, the iconic fast-food hamburger restaurant and creator of The Original Slider®, is gearing up to celebrate National Slider Day on May 15. In honor of this special day, White Castle will be giving away complimentary Original Sliders to its customers. This offer requires no purchase and can be redeemed by using a digital coupon found on White Castle's website and social media platforms or by entering the code SLIDERDAY on the White Castle app.
But that's not all - in addition to the free Slider giveaway, White Castle is also offering a new ongoing deal of six Original Sliders for just $4. This promotion, which launched on May 9, brings the price of each Slider to under 67¢ and showcases how White Castle continues to prioritize affordability for its loyal customers while satisfying their cravings.
National Slider Day was first introduced by White Castle in May 2015 as a way to pay tribute to its famous Original Slider. In 2014, Time magazine even declared it "the most influential burger of all time." Not only is the Original Slider known for its delicious taste, but it also gained fame for its unique size - a compact 2 x 2 inches - earning it the nickname "Slider."

According to Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, "The introduction of the Slider in 1921 helped turn White Castle into a household name and launched the fast-food industry as we know it today." He added, "We believe that a burger with such a significant impact on the food industry deserves its own special day, and what better way to celebrate than by thanking our customers with a complimentary Slider."
Since its debut over 100 years ago, White Castle has expanded its selection of Sliders significantly. In 1962, after serving The Original Slider for over four decades, they introduced their first new menu item - the Cheese Slider. Today, customers can enjoy a variety of Sliders at White Castle, including the Bacon Cheese Slider, Chicken Ring Slider, Double Cheese Slider, and Breakfast Slider made with a fresh cracked egg. These options are available all day long as the majority of White Castle restaurants are open 24/7 or late into the night to satisfy cravings at any time.
In 1987, White Castle made history by becoming the first fast-food chain to sell its Sliders in grocery stores. Now, 38 years later, they have sold over 6.6 billion Sliders in grocery, club, and convenience stores across all 50 states. Customers can easily find their nearest retailer by visiting whitecastle.com/grocery.
So mark your calendars for May 15 and head to your nearest White Castle to celebrate National Slider Day with a free Original Slider and indulge in some of their other delicious menu offerings at an unbeatable value.
