MPE Partners Promotes Joshua Liebow to Partner

CLEVELAND and BOSTON, May 9, 2025 ~ MPE Partners, a private equity firm based in Cleveland and Boston, has recently announced the promotion of Joshua Liebow to Partner. Liebow, who joined MPE's Boston office as a Principal after spending over 20 years at Manulife Investment Management, will now be a part of the firm's existing leadership team.

According to MPE Partner Matt Yohe, the decision to promote Liebow was an easy one. "We have known Josh for many years and we are thrilled to welcome him into the partnership," said Yohe. "Since joining MPE, Josh has made an immediate positive impact within our team and across our portfolio companies."

Joe Machado, another MPE Partner, also expressed his congratulations to Liebow on his promotion. "He has the skills and experience to help drive results for our investors," said Machado. "Importantly, Josh embraces MPE's investment processes and he has been a significant culture carrier within the firm."

Liebow currently holds board seats at three of MPE's portfolio investments - Webster Industries, Mid-States Bolt & Screw, and Inkcups. He has also been an integral member of MPE's deal team for potential new investments. During his time at Manulife, Liebow focused on leading junior capital financings and equity co-investments in middle market companies across various sectors that align with MPE's investment strategy.

Prior to joining MPE as a Principal in 2021, Liebow had worked closely with the firm for over a decade while at Manulife. He was involved in evaluating numerous transaction opportunities and led mezzanine financings and equity co-investments in several of MPE's portfolio companies including dlhBOWLES, 80/20, and Mid-States Bolt & Screw.

Liebow holds a B.S. in Finance from Babson College. With his extensive experience and expertise in private equity investments, Liebow's promotion is expected to further strengthen MPE's leadership team and drive success for the firm's investors.
