HEBRON, Ky., Oct. 19, 2023 ~ Today, Teamsters Local 100 rallied near the DHL Express operations at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) to demand safer working conditions. Brandi Dale, a Teamsters ramp agent at CVG, spoke to the press about the need for smoother communication, proper equipment and adequate staffing.
In 2022, there were 22 workplace injuries at DHL's CVG operations that required transport to a hospital or emergency room. The workers are responsible for loading and unloading approximately 360,000 pounds of cargo per day.
Bill Hamilton, Director of the Teamsters Express Division, called on DHL supervisors at CVG and executives in Germany to show respect to their workers. More than 1,100 DHL-CVG ramp and tug workers voted to join the Teamsters in April and are fighting for their first union contract at the airport.

Bill Davis, President of Teamsters Local 100 said that DHL must take delivering their members a fair contract as seriously as they do delivering packages. He added that without these hardworking men and women none of what DHL does would be possible nor would its huge profits be possible. The union will keep fighting for as long as it takes to protect their members.
