CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio - OhioPen -- Beam 4K, Inc. (Chagrin Falls, OH) applauds the new report from Microsoft that describes the "Infinite Workday" through data as an already-advanced disruption of work/life balance that has become self-perpetuating because of common practices and perceived expectations. The Microsoft Work Trend Annual Index Report "2025: The Year the Frontier Firm Is Born" suggests more exploitation of AI as a workplace tool to help offload some of the work burden. Beam 4K Inc. CEO Martin Winston sees the upcoming Beam4K™ Pro hardware and software for reducing online meeting time while improving online meeting results as also becoming a significant remedy.

"The Microsoft report cites a 16% increase in the number of evening meetings in the past year," Winston notes. "Meetings outside of normal working hours may make sense if the meeting participants are in widely separated time zones, but I very much doubt there's been a 16% annual growth for that subset of meetings. Our Beam4K™ Pro software builds in ways to make most online meetings 1/3 shorter, ways to build Do Not Disturb blocks into scheduling, ways to trim the number of people expected to participate without compromising the purpose of a meeting, ways to share lengthy information elements outside the meeting and more. It's ridiculous to expect people to sacrifice their personal time just to earn the money that funds it."

The report also addresses the unrelenting growth of interruptions as disruptions in a typical workday, citing the "Average time between interruptions by a meeting, email, or message during core work hours" as 2 minutes.

"Again," Winston says, "our design efforts are based on our own exhaustive research efforts, and we go to some unprecedented lengths to reduce the number, length and impact of interruptions that online meetings can often precipitate. Our software can automatically take steps to identify so-called 'Zombie meetings' – those recurring meetings that are no longer productive – and quash invitations to them.

"Work/life balance is part of that. So is the extent of unnecessary company payroll costs resulting from most meetings being 50% longer than their productive content requires. "We think of many of the unnecessary excesses of online meetings as 'time vampires' and we are working hard to be their Abraham Van Helsing."
