CINCINNATI - OhioPen -- MEDIA ADVISORY

WHAT:

The Urban Champions Youth Summit, presented by the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO), is an empowering, high-energy, youth-led event created to equip and inspire teens to lead confidently, clearly, and purposefully. Over 200 young people across Cincinnati will unite for an engaging day filled with dynamic discussions, live music, interactive games, raffles, and authentic conversations about identity, responsibility, and resilience.

This year's theme, "Lead the Way, Don't Be Led Away," emphasizes proactive leadership, critical thinking, and informed decision-making. A summit highlight will be a robust youth-led panel discussion addressing safe and empowered ways to navigate interactions with law enforcement. Panelists will include a retired police officer, a defense attorney, a mental health specialist, a local journalist, and a gun safety expert, offering diverse insights and practical tools for young attendees.
