CINCINNATI - OhioPen -- Recently, a viral video surfaced of a brutal beating in Downtown Cincinnati that has left our community reeling, not only because of the violence it captured, but because of what it reveals: a justice system that continues to fail to protect and respond equitably, and a community still grappling with trust, transparency, safety, and accountability.
We lift up all of the victims and those impacted by these horrific events, but we also refuse to let this moment pass without calling for truth and action. This moment must be a turning point. Not another politicized headline or viral video that fades without justice.
The Holloman Center for Social Justice joins with community members and leaders in calling for the release of the full, unedited footage of the assault, from start to finish. Since the incident began, the release of this video has been urgently requested and remains overdue. Full transparency should always be the standard. The community deserves clarity and assurance that the truth is not being withheld, especially in a situation heightened by racial and political concerns. Transparency helps mitigate the voices that seek to amplify division within an already complex and challenging situation.

We are also calling for full public accountability for every individual involved. Charges must be brought against everyone who incited or engaged in violence. This process must be rooted in the highest standards of justice for all.
The Holloman Center for Social Justice is committed to serving as both a bridge and a catalyst to bring the community together with law enforcement to rebuild trust, restore accountability, and to work collaboratively to identify and implement solutions to move our community forward.
To the people of Cincinnati: your voices matter. You are seen. Your outrage is warranted. And your demand for integrity, dignity, safety, and accountability will not be ignored.
We invite every Hamilton County resident to participate in this community survey to help shape the policies and practices that govern policing in our neighborhoods. Your lived experience is vital to informing our advocacy recommendations, the changes we demand, along with the full attention and action of our leaders.
