COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Central Ohio Urology Group is pleased to announced that Jason Thomas has joined the practice as President and Chief Operating Officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than two decades of experience, Thomas has led the growth and development of several hundred medical clinics during his career.

With a clinical network of 15 offices, Central Ohio Urology Group is the region's leading provider of comprehensive urological services, including general urology, men's health, women's health, cancer care, advanced cancer treatment and radiation oncology. Jason Thomas (https://www.centralohiourology.com/jason-thomas/) is a seasoned healthcare leader with more than two decades of experience in the industry and a unique background in both business management and as a clinician. He has led the growth and development of hundreds of medical practices during his career, including existing clinics, de novo locations, and acquisitions. Known for his visionary approach to business growth and solid grounding in operational details, Thomas has an unrelenting focus on always doing what is best for patients and their families.

For nearly a decade, Thomas led operations for Fresenius Medical Care (NYSE:FMS), the world leader in dialysis therapy and products with more than 4,000 clinics. He was most recently Regional Vice President in Western Ohio overseeing 50 locations and all clinical outcomes, financial outcomes and business development functions, including new center development, joint venture management, customer relationship development, contract negotiations and order fulfillment. In addition to managing the North Florida and South Georgia regions during his tenure with Fresenius, Thomas was tapped as the FMS Corporate Vice President of Quality, in which he developed a state-of the-art quality program highlighted across the enterprise. Thomas' decades of experience also include serving in leadership roles for DaVita (NYSE:DVA), and previously with Renal Care Group.

Thomas received his BA in Business Administration from Ottawa University and MBA from Webster University. He is completing a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. He began his healthcare career working as a registered nurse in intensive care and emergency medicine at the University of Louisville Hospital.
