AURORA, Ohio - OhioPen -- Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of three new CAT8 products to its popular line of networking products – CAT8 Shielded Solid Bulk Cable, CAT8 Toolless Shielded Keystone Jack, and CAT8 Toolless Shielded RJ45 Field Termination Plug.

The CAT8-BULK-BLUE CAT8 Shielded Solid Bulk Cable is capable of reaching up to 40Gbps transfer speed and up to 2GHz bandwidth. The CAT8 cord consists of four individually shielded pairs of 23 gauge solid bare copper conductors with and overall foil shield. It is backwards compatible with all CATx categories, has excellent performance with POE++ applications, and complies with TIA/EIA 568A/568B standard. The blue 300-foot spooled cable is used for runs up to 98 feet.

The JCK-8-TL CAT8 Toolless Shielded Keystone Jack is used to connect two CAT8 shielded cables together at a patch panel, wall plate, or surface mount box. It accommodates 22 to 24 AWG solid shielded wire with an outside diameter between 6.5 to 8.5 mm. A 180-degree wide-angle, hinged design with a removable cap provides easy access and tool-free termination of bulky shielded cable. The jack is rated for 40Gbps transfer speeds and up to 2GHz bandwidth, has excellent performance with POE++ applications, and is color-coded for T568A and T568B.

The 8-PLG-TL CAT8 Toolless Shielded RJ45 Field Termination Plug is used to quickly terminate bulk Category 8 cable into patch cables within the field for 40 Gigabit Ethernet applications. It accommodates 22 to 26 AWG solid or stranded shielded wire with an outside diameter between 6.5 to 8.5 mm. The open-hinged design simplifies placement and termination of bulky shielded cable. The jack is rated for 40Gbps transfer speeds and up to 2GHz bandwidth, has excellent performance with POE++ applications, and is color-coded for T568A and T568B.
