COLUMBUS, Ohio - OhioPen -- The Columbus Fashion Council announced today that they are presenting Ohio's first Fashion Industry Conference. The event kicks off with the Business of Fashion Roundtable hosted by Angela An from WBNS 10TV on April 26 at Co-Hatch - The Meridian. Elliot Carlyle, Creative Consultant of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Connects Program, will be the Keynote Speaker for this event. Elliot will inspire the audience with his message of positivity and stories of his time working with Fern Mallis, creator of Fashion Week in New York City. A wine bar and catering will be offered to participants. Day 2 will consist of five fashion industry workshops to promote knowledge sharing, education for the fashion community regionally and nationally and will include experts from CFDA. This event is sponsored by The Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Franklin County Board of Commissioners.
The Fashion Industry Conference brings together a diverse group of individuals, including fashion organizations, small businesses, public officials, retailers, and fashion schools. Participants will network with like-minded professionals and expand their knowledge of the fashion industry. Key officials, including County Commissioner Erica Crawley will be in attendance.
