MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, Aug. 29, 2024 ~ Progressive Insurance® has recently announced its new brand purpose, "We exist to help people move forward and live fully." This purpose will guide the company's efforts to support its customers and the communities it serves. Since its establishment in 1937, progress has been at the core of Progressive's values, leading to a fundamental belief that insurance should not only protect but also propel people forward.
Tricia Griffith, Chief Executive Officer at Progressive, stated, "Progress is in our company's name and is at the core of guiding the actions we're taking to deliver on our commitment to help people move forward and live fully." As a brand known for its use of humor, Progressive is excited to share more about the heart behind their story and commit to actions that will have a meaningful impact on society.
The brand purpose will build upon Progressive's existing initiatives and elevate their commitments in three key areas: progress on the road, progress in the home, and progress in business. These pillars align with the insurer's mission to provide access to affordable insurance for those who couldn't find it elsewhere.

Under progress on the road, Progressive has launched initiatives such as Keys to Progress® veterans' vehicle giveaway program. Since 2012, over 1,000 vehicles have been gifted to veterans in need. The company also plans to enhance safety on the road through promoting safety education and other initiatives.
In terms of progress in the home, Progressive recognizes the importance of home ownership in building generational wealth. They are committed to providing solutions that help people get into homes, stay in their homes, and realize the value of their homes. This includes their work with Humble Design where they have transformed over 300 homes for those transitioning out of homelessness. Additionally, this year they have invested in funding for innovative solutions that make home ownership more attainable for everyone.
Progressive also remains dedicated to supporting small business owners through their Driving Small Business Forward grant program in partnership with Hello Alice. This commitment to progress in business aligns with their belief in offering support and access to capital for entrepreneurs.
Remi Kent, Chief Marketing Officer at Progressive, shared, "Many people may not know this, but Progressive's founding strategy was to help create access to insurance for an underserved market of people. Protecting and providing access is in our DNA." She also expressed her excitement for the company's new purpose and their efforts to accelerate progress for everyone.
