Premier Private Jets Acquires Dayton Operations of Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems

STUART, Fla., Feb. 6, 2024 ~ Premier Private Jets, a leading national charter provider, has recently announced its acquisition of new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capacity and a fixed-base operation (FBO) in Dayton, Ohio. The facilities were previously owned by Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems and were set to be closed as part of the company's consolidation efforts.

According to Premier's CEO Josh Birmingham, this acquisition is a significant step towards the company's growth and expansion. "We are thrilled to add these facilities to our portfolio as it provides us with much-needed MRO capacity and expands our geographic reach," he stated. "Moreover, we are pleased to be able to preserve the jobs of 40 highly skilled employees in Dayton and welcome them into the Premier family."

Under the new ownership, the MRO will operate as Premier Aviation Services while the FBO will be known as Premier Jet Services. Birmingham also revealed plans for upgrading and expanding the terminal to better serve their customers. "With this acquisition, we gain access to 370,000 square feet of leasehold space which includes a full refurbishment design center for paint and interiors, as well as aircraft hangar storage," he explained.

Current customers can expect a seamless transition as they continue working with a team they are familiar with. This purchase also strengthens Premier's FAA Part 145 repair capabilities by adding a third MRO location to their existing bases in Michigan and Florida. The addition of Dayton will provide more capacity for servicing not only Premier's own fleet but also other aircraft.

Premier Private Jets offers a range of services including purchase evaluations, avionics installations, repairs and overhauls, and interior/exterior refurbishment.
