Join NAMI Southwest Ohio on May 13 at Sawyer Point for a day full of hope, raising awareness and funds for mental health.
CINCINNATI - OhioPen -- The National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwest Ohio (NAMI SWOH) will celebrate 20 historic years of raising funds & awareness during May's Mental Health Awareness Month on Saturday, May 13 with its annual fundraising event NAMIWalks SWOH. The free annual community walk held at Sawyer Point (9 AM to 12:00 PM) is a local day of awareness to support mental health for all and a celebration of community gatherings and peer-to-peer fundraising. NAMIWalks SWOH will also feature a communal paint-by-number mural, a KidZone, and the chance to take a photo with the Cincinnati Reds mascot!
The funds raised provide free programs and services including support groups, classes, & presentations that bring NAMI's message of hope to everyone impacted by mental illness. NAMI services benefit individuals who live with mental illness, family members and those who support a loved one. To register visit NAMIWALKS.org/SWOH.

The power of NAMI's mission to provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness is being felt as never before. The achievement of "Mental Health for All" has never felt this critical yet closer to being realized. "We have a powerful chance to make a lasting impact on mental health right here in our community," says Executive Director, Katie Harper. "When NAMI Walks, we knock down walls. We topple obstacles. NAMI Southwest Ohio is part of the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
