CLEVELAND - OhioPen -- www.mbma.com: The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) is gearing up to host its third annual Architecture Faculty Workshop for college and university professors nationwide. The two-day event will take place August 2-3, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. MBMA will cover all expenses for architecture educators who attend, including travel costs, lodging and meals.
"The MBMA Architecture Faculty Workshop was a value to me. I learned new information related to design opportunities with metal buildings," says Kristina Yu, associate professor at the School of Architecture + Planning, University of New Mexico.
The workshop will present engaging ideas for integrating metal building studies into college and university curriculum. Presenters will also discuss the 2022 student design competition, which kicks off this fall and will award a total $28,000 to students and faculty sponsors. Professor Yu, whose teams won the top prizes in the 2021 MBMA student design competition, will draw from her personal experience to share helpful tips on being a faculty advisor for the design contest during the workshop.
