"Broken and Restored" Feature Film Eyes Cincinnati for Late 2026 Production

CINCINNATI - OhioPen -- "E414 Productions has acquired the life and book rights to Broken and Restored, the true story of Donnie and Cheryl Bowman, and is developing the project into a feature film.

The screenplay adaptation is being written by Sam Juergens, the key creative producer behind the highly anticipated film JIMMY. Production is being spearheaded by Brittany McVicker, executive at E414 Productions, alongside producer Sharon Oliphant of 21 Five Films.

The film centers on Donnie and Cheryl Bowman. Largely unknown to the public, the Bowman family's story has long been the subject of speculation, with only fragments reaching the public eye. Broken and Restored brings the full narrative into focus for the first time — a deeply personal account of struggle, faith, and the grace that carried them through.

Broken and Restored tells a story of faith, redemption, and restoration that shaped a family whose struggles ultimately produced a strong marriage, an impact on hundreds and thousands, and multiple children who became a successful businessman, a missionary, a pastor, and even the current Vice President of the United States.

'This story deserves to be told, and working alongside Cheryl Bowman as a creative partner ensures exactly that,' said producer Brittany McVicker. 'We couldn't be more excited to bring this to the screen together.'

The film is slated to shoot in Cincinnati, Ohio later this year. Casting and additional production details will be announced at a later date."
