Founder Malik Carey brings automated blueprint estimating to machine shops, with no portal, no login, and the first five prints free.
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio - OhioPen -- Zenith Quoting, an AI estimating engine for machine shops, is now live and taking blueprints from precision manufacturers across the Midwest. A shop forwards a 2D PDF print to an email address, and a fully itemized machining quote comes back in about two minutes, with the hole counts, volumes and machining time shown behind the number.
The tool targets a bottleneck common to small and mid-sized job shops: requests for quote stack up while one person prices them by hand, off the print, between everything else the day demands. Zenith reads the drawing itself and shows its work, so an estimator can check the number against their own judgment rather than trusting a black box.
"Every shop owner I talk to describes the same problem. Jobs get lost on turnaround, not on price," said Malik Carey, founder of Zenith Quoting. "I built an engine that reads the print and shows exactly how it got to a number, so a shop can trust it or correct it. When it is not sure, it says so instead of guessing confidently."

Unlike platform-based quoting software, Zenith requires no portal, no login, no seat licenses and nothing to install. It reads the 2D PDF drawings that most shops actually receive from their customers, rather than requiring a 3D CAD model. A shop's first five prints are free. After that, pricing is $49 per print run invoiced monthly, or $999 per month for unlimited prints.
Zenith Quoting is based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and works with machine shops throughout Northeast Ohio and the wider Midwest. More at https://zenithquoting.com and the founder page at https://zenithquoting.com/about.html.
To try it, a shop can forward a print it has already quoted to quotes@zenithquoting.com and compare the returned number against its own.
