CLEVELAND - OhioPen -- New Single/Split Phase Logger for Energy Monitoring and Load Studies
CAS DataLoggers is pleased to announce the new AEMC PEL 52, an affordable single and split-phase power/energy data logger. This product is ideal for electricians, engineers, and contractors working in power consumption monitoring as well as commercial and residential energy audits. The new logger measures, stores, and analyzes all vital energy data every second to give users a highly accurate view. Users can measure energy use, identify areas for improvement, and monitor conservation efforts. For clear data organization and presentation, reports can be generated with only minimal configuration time and effort. CAS DataLoggers expects to have these loggers in inventory shortly and offers them free tech support, supplying users with a flexible solution backed by expert assistance.
Features:
The new power logger's compact design enables it to be quickly installed in a load center panel (including all current sensors) and still allows the door to close on most panels. The PEL 52 offers all the essential functions for logging power/energy data from most electrical power networks in use today, measuring and recording 2 voltage inputs and 2 current inputs, Watts, VARS, VA, and energy (kWh and kVA). Power factor, displacement power factor, crest factor, frequency, and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) are also calculated and recorded. All variables are recorded and stored at a one-second interval and on user-selectable demand intervals from 1 to 60 minutes. It also offers a configurable demand aggregation period from 1 minute to one hour. The PEL 52 is designed to perform load studies in compliance with NEC 220.87.

The PEL 52 measures up to 600 VAC and supports a variety of different current sensors for measurements up to 3000 AAC. The LCD allows live data to be easily monitored on-site. Recorded data is stored on a removable SD card and can be retrieved using the built-in WiFi connection or by transporting the SD card to download on a PC. An onboard web server allows monitoring for a laptop or mobile device (Android or iOS). These data loggers include FREE comprehensive DataView® software providing fast configuration and the ability to view/retrieve data. DataView® allows viewing of real-time measurements and stored data downloads for analysis and report generation.
