Local Business Owner Keith Barksdale Named to NSBA Leadership Council
HOBOKEN, N.J. - OhioPen -- Keith Barksdale of Hoboken was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation's oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Barksdale, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
"As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation," stated Barksdale. "Joining NSBA's Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress."
Mr. Barksdale is Chairman of Power Analytics Global Corporation. Mr. Barksdale founded BV Advisory Partners to develop partnerships with experienced operators whom have the ability through technology and innovation to disrupt their respective industries including Healthcare, Media, Telecommunications, Energy and Technology. Mr. Barksdale believes that capital is a commodity and just one of the tools needed by executives in building a successful enterprise. Mr. Barksdale has had a leading role in over $10 billion of financings. First, during a decade on Wall Street at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, National Westminster Bank and Kidder Peabody & Co., covering premier global asset managers. Prior to founding his family office, Barksdale Global Holdings, he was a Managing Director at Ledgemont Capital Group, where he was involved in capital raising, management recruiting, and overall strategic and financial advisory services to over 40 growth stage companies. Mr. Barksdale graduated with a BA in English and History from Hampden-Sydney College in 1993.
