DAYTON, Ohio, Aug. 13, 2024 ~ Dayton, Ohio - Glasshouse Realty Group, a leading real estate brokerage in Dayton, has announced the addition of Tom Kretz as the vice president of commercial real estate. This move marks the establishment of a formal commercial division within the brokerage, with plans to expand and diversify their presence in the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus markets.
Kretz brings with him a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He joins Glasshouse after successfully finalizing the sale of his co-ownership stake in Irongate Inc. Realtors, the second largest brokerage in the Dayton area. During his time at Irongate, Kretz was responsible for developing and managing all aspects of their commercial division. Under his leadership, the annual transaction volume for commercial real estate grew by an impressive 1,500% in less than three years.
With over 26 years of experience starting, acquiring, growing and selling businesses, Kretz has decided to focus on managing his extensive commercial real estate portfolio while also mentoring a dedicated team of full-service agents at Glasshouse. "Glasshouse has established an exceptional reputation in residential real estate and has been steadily gaining market share while attracting top talent," said Kretz. "I saw great potential for Glasshouse to expand into the commercial space and I am excited to be a part of it. The brokerage is dynamic, agile and technology-driven - all essential qualities for navigating the complexities of commercial transactions."

Prior to joining Irongate, Kretz was ranked third globally for Top Commercial Agents in the Berkshire Hathaway Global CRE Network. He also holds several leadership positions within the industry and local and regional government. Additionally, he serves on numerous boards, commissions and committees. In 2023, he worked closely with Dayton Realtors to rewrite their commercial contract forms and continues to serve on their Commercial/Industrial Committee, Legislative Committee and Commercial Forms Committee.
"We are delighted to have Tom join our team as we expand our Glasshouse Commercial Division and become a top-producing, full-service brokerage," said Mo Zahedi, Glasshouse broker and co-founder. "The commercial market in the Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati regions is thriving and we are confident that our expansion will bring in a new level of sales volume in the coming years."
Glasshouse Realty Group anticipates that their expansion into commercial real estate will result in approximately $35-50 million in new sales volume by the end of 2025. With Kretz at the helm of their commercial division, the brokerage is well-positioned to achieve this goal and continue their growth as a leading real estate brokerage in Ohio.
