SANDUSKY, Ohio, July 16, 2024 ~ Civista Bancshares, Inc. has announced the upcoming retirement of Senior Vice President and Controller, Todd Michel. The retirement will be effective as of July 16, 2024. Civista has already begun the search for a permanent replacement for Mr. Michel, who has been with the company for 39 years.
Mr. Michel's career with Civista began in 1985 when he joined as a seasonal teller while attending Bowling Green State University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in business in 1988, he joined the company's accounting department. He was later promoted to Vice President and Controller in 1998 and then to Senior Vice President in 2000.

In the interim, Ian Whinnem, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will serve as Principal Accounting Officer until a permanent replacement is found. Civista thanks Mr. Michel for his dedication and contributions over the years and wishes him all the best in his retirement.
