Akron, Ohio, Sept. 30, 2022 — The 35th Annual Welcome Santa Holiday Parade will take place Friday, November 25, 2022 in downtown Akron. For the first time in the parade's 35-year history, it will take place at night, kicking off at 6pm on Main St.
City of Akron Recreation & Parks is looking for parade units to help light up the night for the first illuminated Welcome Santa Holiday Parade. Registration is free and open to community groups, arts and cultural organizations, marching bands, drum lines, and businesses with illuminated floats, vehicles, costumes, and/or outfits.

The parade will step off on S. Main Street at Cedar and will travel north on S. Main Street ending at Bowery. Immediately following the parade, the City will host Lock 3's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony & Fireworks.
