DES PLAINES, Ill., July 21, 2025 ~ Chicago Faucets Showcases HyTronic TempShield Touchless Faucet Line at 2025 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference
Chicago Faucets, a leading manufacturer of plumbing products, has announced that their innovative HyTronic TempShield touchless faucet line will be on display at the 2025 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Attendees can visit booth #542 to see three models of the HyTronic TempShield faucets, along with a full lineup of healthcare plumbing products designed to prioritize patient safety, infection prevention, and water conservation. This includes the revolutionary Auto-Drain shower system.
The HyTronic TempShield touchless faucets have been proven to be dependable and feature integrated ASSE 1070 Certified Scald Protection, making them an ideal solution for environments where safety and hygiene are paramount. According to Greg Hunt, Product Manager at Chicago Faucets, "The new HyTronic with TempShield represents the next generation of safe and efficient faucet design for healthcare settings. By incorporating scald protection directly into the spout, we are minimizing water stagnation risks and simplifying installation while also promoting sustainability with a low flow rate of 0.50 GPM and a clean laminar stream that does not aerosolize."

These faucets have been specifically engineered for safer handwashing in healthcare facilities. The integration of a thermostatic ASSE 1070-compliant mixing valve directly into the spout reduces the water's path to the user, minimizing the risk of bacterial growth and biofilm formation that can occur in long under-deck supply lines. Other key features include a touchless sensor for activation to reduce contact contamination, anti-scald protection with a built-in ASSE-certified thermostatic valve, multiple hygiene flush options through the CF Connect app, and durable all-brass construction.
In addition to their focus on safety and performance, Chicago Faucets also prioritizes sustainability. The HyTronic TempShield faucets are available in traditional, contemporary, and gooseneck spout styles. The contemporary and traditional models have a low flow rate of 0.50 GPM, making them ideal for facilities looking to conserve water without compromising performance. The non-splashing laminar stream also helps maintain a clean and safe sink environment, which is crucial in patient care areas. The gooseneck model has a longer reach and offers user temperature control at a flow rate of 1.50 GPM.
