Bullen Ultrasonics' Eric Norton to Speak at MS&T Conference on Advanced Machining of Hard and Brittle Materials

EATON, Ohio, Sept. 17, 2025 ~ Bullen Ultrasonics, a leading company in precision machining of advanced ceramics, glass, and specialty materials, has announced that their research and early innovation manager, Eric Norton, will be speaking at the Materials Science & Technology (MS&T) Technical Meeting and Exhibition in Columbus, Ohio on September 30th, 2025.

Norton's session, titled "Machining Methods – Ceramics and Other Hard/Brittle Materials," will provide valuable insights into the various machining options available for challenging materials and designs. This includes discussing the considerations, advantages, and limitations of CNC grinding, laser microjet, ultrasonic machining, and laser micromachining. Additionally, Norton will highlight Bullen's proprietary ultrasonic machining and MicroLucent® laser technologies.

Norton was recently named co-inventor on Bullen's newly awarded U.S. patent for a hands-free electrical connector that enables fully automated high-voltage tool changes in factory automation. This further showcases his expertise in driving innovation within the company.

The session will take place on Tuesday afternoon from 1:45 to 2:00 p.m. ET at The Advanced Materials Show Sessions Stage during the MS&T Technical Meeting and Exhibition at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
