Akron, Ohio, February 1, 2023 — This Friday, Feb. 3, Summit Lake Community Center (380 W Crosier St.) will be open from 8:00am - 7:00pm to serve as a warming center for those residents who are in need. All other community centers will also be available during their normal hours for anyone needing to get out of the cold. See here for a full list of locations.
"As the forecast calls for frigid temperatures during the day on Friday, we want to offer a dedicated space for anyone who needs to warm up," said Mayor Horrigan.
