WASHINGTON, Feb. 22, 2024 ~ NASA has recently announced their selection of Sierra Lobo Inc. of Fremont, Ohio to provide support for spaceflight hardware design, development, testing, and operations at NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. This decision was made as part of the Space Flight Systems Development and Operations Contract III, a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a maximum potential value of approximately $282.1 million.

The contract includes a 90-day phase-in period beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 27, followed by a three-year base period and two two-year option periods. Under this agreement, Sierra Lobo Inc. will be responsible for the development and delivery of technology development hardware and software, space flight hardware and software, ground support equipment, spares, as well as mission integration and operations.

In addition to these tasks, the contractor will also be responsible for sustaining engineering and the definition, design, development, analysis, fabrication, assembly, test, verification, delivery and operation of space flight systems. This includes associated support systems and equipment as well as related ground activities such as research, science and technology development and demonstrations.
