CLEVELAND - OhioPen -- CAS DataLoggers is pleased to announce that we've added the Accsense Electrocorder AL-2VA single-phase AC voltage and current recorder to satisfy the needs of lower power applications. It allows users to monitor the supply voltage and current draw in appliances, computers, and other equipment. The best part is that it is supplied with a standard plug and socket to allow it to be installed and used by non-technical staff. Key features include:

Features:
  • Voltage measurement range of 30 to 300 VAC
  • Current measurement range of 0.2 to 15AAC
  • User-selectable recording interval of 1 sec to 1 hour
  • Records average, min, and max during each interval
  • Internal storage for 32,000 points
  • Standard NEMA 5-15 plug and socket

With its simple plug-and-play operation, the AL-2VA is ideal for a variety of tasks including:
  • Performing load surveys on different pieces of equipment
  • Identifying causes of malfunctioning machinery
  • Audit or production test to verify operating parameters

As an application example, energy surveys often use nameplates or the published rating for machines, but this can be wildly inaccurate—the equipment may not usually be running on full load and is generally using less energy than assumed. Additionally, some machines use more power as they age, which can also indicate the need for maintenance before a sudden breakdown occurs. These data loggers are just a small selection of available Accsense Electrocorder products that can be used for energy assessments.
